What is Domestic Retrofit?

The domestic retrofit industry is one of the UK's fastest-growing industries, meaning people with retrofit qualifications and skills are in high demand.

‍Domestic Retrofit involves upgrading or improving the energy efficiency and comfort of residential buildings. The primary goal is to reduce energy consumption and costs by promoting sustainable practices, such as insulation, double-glazed windows, and renewable energy.

What are the key details for the course?

Duration: 3 days (Monday to Wednesday) from 9:30 am to 4 pm.

‍Format: Interactive online sessions taught by an industry professional.

‍Eligibility: No entry requirements. Available exclusively to residents of England ONLY.

How do I know if the course is for me?

Anyone interested in Retrofit can take this course—it’s very flexible and open! No prior experience or knowledge in construction, retrofit, or another related field is required.

You would enjoy the course if you:

1) Already have some experience in construction or the built environment and are keen to transition into retrofit.

2) Are interested to learn about and transition to the domestic retrofit sector.

3) Are looking to become a Domestic Energy or Retrofit Assessor.

4) Are looking to gain retrofit knowledge for an entry-level technical role.
